Thoughts worth sharing

Dreamforce 2014 was of course the biggest and best yet. Every year Dreamforce gets bigger and grander. No doubt 2015 will be bigger still.

At the tail end of another immense week at Dreamforce, today I presented alongside my peer and colleague Thiago Figueiró, the VP of Production Operations and Engineering at Westfield Labs.

Things are now starting to return to normal after a huge Dreamforce week in San Francisco so it’s time to start thinking about how to apply some of the new information we picked up over there.

Hack club. A simple name for an audacious initiative when we down all our project work to focus purely on creativity and that which interests us as individuals. It gives everyone breathing room to explore.

On December the 4th, at 7pm, Abhinav presents his Defrag conference talk, "The Ethic of Delivery" to the Christchurch on Rails group. This is kindly hosted by the fine folks at Egressive Ltd.

The presentation reflected on Abhinav's previous life working in Enterprise IT and his observations of what didn't work and an experiment that he was part of to try things a different way.

Trineo is proud to announce that Abhinav has been selected to present a keynote at the prestigious Defrag conference held outside Denver, Colorado. The conference is focused on tools that accelerate the "a ha" moment.

On Thursday the 5th of July, Trineo is hosting this month's Christchurch on Rails gathering, which happens to be a hack night. The night will be informal, and hopefully good fun for all involved.

Last week five members of Team Trineo crossed the Tasman Sea and arrived in Sydney for Cloudforce: the region's biggest cloud computing event with around 5000 people in attendance.

The Trineo bespoke solutions team attended Railscamp NZ 2 last weekend, and had an amazing time. The event was a real success, and was appreciated by many. A satisfying feeling as an organiser.

Railscamp NZ 2012 is being held in February 2012, at the Snowline Lodge on Mt Cheeseman. It’s really quite something. It's a remote location, perched in the majestic Southern Alps of New Zealand.

Partnering with the sublime business team at Rush Labs, we have been working on the creation and delivery of MarketScout since August 2010. We submitted MarketScout as a Heroku case study to the organisers.
